There are many things which I wish I would have known before I went to my first AALL meeting.

After attending a few meetings, I started getting the idea about what to bring, what to wear, what NOT to wear, and other useful tidbits.

During CONELL 2005, I teamed up with a more experienced law librarian and good friend Peggy Martindale and we gave a presentation about practical things a first time visiter to the annual meeting needs to know.

Since then, I have gotten requests every year for the powerpoint that we had at that program. The only thing that has been changed is my email address (it is now current).

While this doesn't replace the valuable information and introductions you get at CONELL, it does provide some basics. Enjoy!
