Religious Guide

-prepared by Ruth Mahoney, Law Library of Louisiana

New Orleans has many places of worship in and around the city. The guide below was put together by Ruth Mahoney. Most are not within walking distance of the convention center. Please call and double check the schedule with the place of worship. Many places have been affected by Katrina but may not have updated their web pages.

The Times-Picayune Newspaper publishes a Directory of Houses of Worship every Saturday in the Living Section (C) of the paper. It can be found online at Nola.com.

For other types of places and types of worship not listed below, please visit the Louisiana Pluralism Project.
