The San Antonio Satellite Library is located on the
ground floor of the John H. Wood Courthouse, on the grounds of Hemisfair Park
in downtown San Antonio. The library's collection includes statutes, treatises,
loose-leaf materials, law reviews and other periodicals, and other research
material. The Library's goal is to provide access to legal research materials,
in a variety of formats, to the Judges, staff, and those with matters before
the federal courts in San Antonio. In addition, the San Antonio library serves
all of the Judges and staff in the Western District of Texas in cooperation
with the Austin Satellite Library. The San Antonio Library primarily supports
Del Rio, Pecos, Midland and El Paso. The San Antonio Librarian travels to
Midland, Del Rio, Pecos and El Paso on a twice yearly basis to provide
assistance to chambers libraries. The Librarian assists researchers with a
variety of projects, helping to ensure that results are found quickly and that
the information is accurate and up-to-date.
